Dr. Mark Stavish, Cofounder

Dr. Mark Stavish, cofounder of College Vision, plays an instrumental role in forming our successful approach to college admissions guidance.  With a PhD in education and nearly three decades of corporate HR experience for AOL, Pepsi-Cola, and Mobil Oil, Dr. Stavish offers a wealth of experience and insight to College Vision students and parents.  

In addition to his role at College Vision, Dr. Stavish serves as president of Evergreen Partners, a unique consulting and venture capital firm that specializes in helping people and organizations realize their goals.  Many of the strategies he uses in his consulting practice have been used to improve the college admissions consulting model we use to help students achieve their college goals.   

Dr. Stavish serves as a Trustee for Shenandoah University and Northern Virginia Community College. He is a Director on the for-profit Boards of Lowers & Associates, Inc., Digital Sports, Inc., Copyboy Publications, Inc., and HumanR, Inc.  He also serves on the nonprofit Boards of INOVA Loudoun Healthcare, Inc., INOVA Health Systems, Crossways International, Inc., Every Orphan’s Hope, Loudoun Community Health Center, and the Virginia High School League Foundation.  He is a past Chairman of the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Stavish earned a Doctorate in Education at The George Washington University in Human and Organizational Learning, a Master of Science degree in Industrial Relations, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Iowa State University.

Randy Trombly, Cofounder

Randy Trombly, cofounder, plays an active role in the daily operations of College Vision, working with our coaches, parents, and students to ensure successful outcomes. With high-level human resources experience at America Online (AOL), Melville Corporation, Grand Metropolitan, COMPAQ Computer, and Tenneco, Randy brings significant expertise in staffing and in developing and implementing corporate college recruiting programs.  With this experience, Randy helps high school students see the long-term implications of how the decisions they make today will impact their lives in college and beyond.

Randy earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Communications from Brockport State University.

Paulette Anders, MBA, MS College Coach

Paulette is College Vision’s lead college admissions coach.  She offers significant knowledge of the college admissions process from over 13 years experience in academic counseling, guidance counseling, and university-level undergraduate and graduate admissions. 

Paulette earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology before serving her alma mater, Mount St. Mary’s University, for eight years as Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions. She went on to earn a Master of Science in School Counseling from Johns Hopkins University and worked at JHU as Associate Director of Graduate Business Admissions.

Paulette’s complete educational background includes:

  • Master of Science in School Counseling, Johns Hopkins University
  • Master of Business Administration, with Distinction, Mount St. Mary’s University
  • Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Cum Laude, Mount St. Mary’s University
  • Certificate in College Admissions Counseling, UCLA (in progress)

  • Potomac and Chesapeake Association of College Admissions Counseling
  • American School Counseling Association

Paulette continually provides thoughtful insight and guidance to help our students achieve their college goals. Her ability to quickly develop rapport with students and parents makes her uniquely effective as the head coach to College Vision students. In addition to the relationships she creates with our students, Paulette also spends time networking with college admissions officers to help our students find the best school to meet their needs academically, socially, and financially. Helping high school students and their families navigate the world of college admissions is Paulette’s passion.

Tamara L. Conover, B.A., MEd, College Coach

Tammy offers a broad knowledge of academic advising and the college admissions process from over 20 years of experience in academic and guidance counseling, test coordination and university-level undergraduate admissions.

Education

  • Master of Education in College Counseling and Student Personnel Services, University of Delaware
  • Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, University of Delaware
  • Additional coursework in Secondary School Counseling, Wilmington College

Summary of Experience

Tammy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Delaware and then served as an admissions counselor for a year at Widener University.

While completing her Master’s Degree in Education at the University of Delaware, she was a graduate assistant in the admissions office.  After completing her Master’s of Education, she began work as a guidance counselor in her native Delaware.

After four years, she moved to northern Virginia and continued work as a guidance counselor for Loudoun County Public Schools.  She held this position for seven years.  For the last six years, she has been a testing coordinator for Loudoun County Public Schools.

  • Pupil Personnel Services License with the State of Virginia.

She has previously held professional memberships in the following organizations:

Diana Seymour BS, College Coach

Education

Bachelor of Science, Art History from Towson University.

  • National Association of College Admissions Counseling and Potomac and Chesapeake Association of College Admissions Counseling.

Summary of Experience

Diana offers considerable knowledge in the College Admission Process with 6 years’ experience in the field.

Diana will help guide ours students to achieve their college goals by plotting a course through the college admission process.

She has experience directing students through the scholarship search process by leading students to profitable scholarships.

Diana has experience assisting students who have documented learning disabilities or IEPs.   She will assist in making sure students accommodations are recognized by the College Board and ACT as well as seeing those accommodations continue at the college level.

Through Diana’s experience and networking with college admissions representatives she will go above and beyond to ensure both the students and families are comfortable and pleased with their school of choice.
